Aunt Sarah’s Falls, while right of the road, is apparently very easy to miss, at least from certain directions. As we were driving south on NY-14 from Watkins Glen to Montour Falls, I missed the falls. Only when driving out did I actually notice that there was a falls.
During the spring, there are other falls that cascade down the cliffs along the western side of NY-14. I have pictures of three of them, and I’m guessing that they probably dry up during the summer.
Directions:
- Aunt Sarah’s Falls is a roadside waterfall, directly off of NY-14 just as you are entering the village of Montour Falls (coming from Watkins Glen). There is a roadside park on the opposite side of the road with a sign indicating that this is Aunt Sarah’s Falls.
