Holley Falls, New York

Upstate New York is a treasure trove for waterfall enthusiasts. Even when it seems like you’re out of “waterfall range”, another one appears! Many of these falls require hiking, but Holley Falls, located in the charming village of Holley, offers a spectacular view with minimal effort. This man-made waterfall, a result of the Erie Canal’s construction, drops 40 feet over a wide, multi-tiered crest.

What makes Holley Falls particularly appealing is its incredible accessibility. Situated right within Holley Falls Park, the waterfall is visible just a short distance from the parking area, making it a perfect destination for families with small children, those with mobility challenges, or anyone simply looking for a quick and rewarding nature stop. A well-maintained path allows people to get closer to the base of the falls, offering fantastic photo opportunities.
